Sooo, another weekend with my band has come and passed, but as always we are left with the exciting stories and memories a small unsigned band can make whilst on tour.
So our first show was in Allentown, Pennsylvania at the Sterling Hotel. We dint really have any information about the show. We knew what time it started and where it was. I know you might think thats all you need to know but theres a ton more, and Dob who usually takes care of this was not around- some might say we were Dobless and that is never fun. After getting there an hour early and killing time playing catch phrase, pool, and Male Erotic Photo Hunt we found out we would be playing at Adrenaline Friday with pretty much all metal bands. To top that there were two stages- one with lights, a big stage, a great sound system, and the whole crowd. The other stage was the compelte oppoiste and naturally that is the one we played on - First short straw we drew. Anyway, we ended making at least one fan which is always a success, had some Chinese Food and started makign our way towards our next destination.
Our friend Mio (our gps) really screwed us over and forced us to sleep in the van by adding an hour to our trip and past the time we neede to be at the house we could have slept at. SO we slept in a foodtown parking lot and watched Ironman which i rented for a dollar from those DVD rental vending machines.
Our second show was at an Elks Logde and brings us to short straw number 2. We were supposed to play second, and as we were about to load on we were told there was a band playing before. This happened after every band until finalyl we were playing last. Remember at a local show kids end to leave after the band they came to see plays so playing last for an out of state band is not good. Thankfully i had some saving graces. Colby and Timmy came to hang out and earlier in the day we discovered that we were invited to the Elks Lodge Members Only Bar. We signed in as guests and sat down to have some $1.25 beers with the old Elks. We listened to some funny old people conversations, ate the bar popcorn, and returned upstairs to play. My friends, includeing my new friends Karen (or linda/nancy accordign to me) saved me from become my grouchy self by insultng me and making me laugh. good times.
Our third show was at a VFW in Paramus, New Jersey. It was a very promising show. We were told we were 1st to 5th on the main stage, and we ended up being 2nd overall on the side stage with our set cut to 4 songs. another short straw. but once again we made the best out of it. Colby, Tim, Emma, Erica, Randi, Colin, Sean, and Tommy all came out to see us play (some were unsucsesful). We started husting and made alot of new friends and even convinced the promoters top let us play acoustic for the new friends we made. We got to see a ton of bands play and just had a good time with each other.
Overall, alof of times i tend to get mad and over react at things (thats actually probably a under exxageration) but i always have my friends there first insult me, then make fun of me for getting mad, and then laughin with me - weather it be my band, my friends Ive made from this band, or my beer lol. We can all rise above with only our friends by our side. Hell yeh nathen.
super...

Oh Michael. Everytime I read a blog post of yours I get an erection that lasts for days. Thank you. I can't leave my cubicle now because the creepy IT guy that watches my every move will notice the bulge in pants if I stand up and then he'll try to talk to me and like "help" me with my computer problems which usually just means he crawls on his hands and knees under my desk to play with cables and get a bottom up view of my crotch. Oh sadness. But thanks for the erection, nonetheless.
